When does the TOKYO STARTER KIT expire?

The period of validity varies as follows:Tokyo Subway Ticket:Valid for 72 hours from the first ride (upon passing through the ticket gate) after purchase.Toei Bus 1-Day Ticket: Valid for 24 hours from the first ride after purchase. However, tickets valid the previous day can also be used from 12:00AM to 4:00 AM.CHIKA TOKU: The Tokyo Subway Ticket and Toei Bus 1-Day Ticket can be used within their valid periods and can be used any number of times as long as used at different spots.Insurance: Valid for 72 hours from 12:00AM of the day after purchase.App: Valid for one month after purchasing and activating the app. However, the medical support call feature will cease a week after activating the app.Personal Case/Pass Case: No expiry. Please take it home along with your memories of Tokyo!

As this product is already under discount, other discounts cannot be applied.

I would like to get a refund for my TOKYO STARTER KIT.

Returns are accepted only if it can be confirmed that the Tokyo Subway Ticket and Toei Bus One-Day Passes are unused, have yet to expire and have all the accompanying items such as the packaging, pass case, and stickers intact. Returns require the payment of a ¥220 handling fee and can be made at the location of purchase. Returns can only be made during business hours on the day of purchase. When returning the product to the location of purchase, please bring the passport you displayed upon purchase.

I lost my TOKYO STARTER KIT before its expiry date.

Please note that we cannot reissue it after purchase even if lost while still valid. We also do not sell any of its attached products separately.

How is TOKYO STARTER KIT different from Suica and PASMO?

Suica and PASMO do not offer discounted fares for prepaid IC card tickets. Being able to ride any number of times a day is one of TOKYO STARTER KIT's highlights.

Where and how far can the Tokyo Subway Ticket take me?

Although you can't use it on all transportation facilities in Tokyo, you can still go around almost all the popular spots in Tokyo, as it allows you to use the entire Tokyo Metro and Toei Subway lines (about 280 stations around Tokyo's 23 wards).

Can I use TOKYO STARTER KIT to access the airport?

You can't get to Narita International Airport or Tokyo International Airport (Haneda) with TOKYO STARTER KIT alone.

What happens if my Tokyo Subway Ticket expires while riding on the subway?

If you got on board during the valid time, you still can get off even if Tokyo Subway Ticket exceeded the validity period.

TOEI BUS

When does the Toei Bus 1-Day ticket expire?

Unlike the Tokyo Subway Ticket, the Bus Tickets' expiry is managed by date and is valid until 24:00 of the day of boarding. However, tickets valid for the previous day can also be used between 12:00 AM and 4:00 AM of the following day.

Can Toei Bus be accessed even after the subway's last train?

Please don't hesitate to use the Bus even after Toei Subway's and Tokyo Metro Line's last trains. Toei Bus has late-night buses that run only on main routes during late-night. However, when using a late-night bus, you will need to pay the extra fee that is charged in addition to the regular fare (¥210, ¥206 when using an IC card). The late-night bus is only available on weekdays.

How should I use Chika Toku?

Chika Toku is a great-value coupon booklet which can be used by those who purchased TOKYO STARTER KIT. Please show your Tokyo Subway to the participating stores.

Does Chika Toku have an expiry date?

The bonuses can only be used once per store. The benefits of different stores can be used any number of times before expiry.

How should I use the app?

Please use the application by entering the 5-digit activation code received upon purchase. By turning on the notification settings and location information displayed on the first screen, you can easily receive information in the event of an emergency.

What should I do if I lose my activation code?

Please note that we can not reissue another one.

When does the medical support feature expire?

The medical support service will be available starting 12:00AM of the day after purchasing the TOKYO STARTER KIT. Please note that the Tokyo Subway Ticket and Toei Bus 1-Day Ticket each have their own different service start time.

How should I use the medical support service?

If you feel ill or are injured, please call Tokio Marine Nichido's Support Desk. we will hear your symptoms and guide you to the appropriate hospital.

When should I use the interpreter?

Tokio Marine Nichido's Support Desk also has universal interpreters. Please contact whenever you're having problems with what to say while traveling.

What kind of information do I get from Disaster Information?

You'll receive information on earthquakes and floods along with evacuation information.

What is this Consultation Center for Times of Disaster?

It's a consultation service operated by JNTO (Japan National Tourism Organization), open 24 hours a day and 365 days all-year-round.

Will it always be of help during disasters?

The app translates and distributes disaster information sent by the local governments. Depending on the local governments' transmission situation, and the users' connection and location information, the information may not always be delivered in real time. As the translation is automated, it cannot be said that there will be no mistranslations. The information sent is meant to be distributed so it can be helpful, even just a little during times of disasters, so please confirm the correct information by calling JNTO, checking the information sent by the country of Japan, or inquiring at the embassies.
